A sign or we can even describe a small billboard on the side of the US-412 highway, welcomes those who enter the US state of New Mexico, after leaving the state of Oklahoma behind.

The scenery is not contagious, since in the perimeter that surrounds New Mexico and Oklahoma, there are only plantations cultivated in many kilometers of extension.

On the border of the two states of the United States of America, on the New Mexico side, a small billboard, with a yellow background written Welcome to New Mexico - Land of Enchantment. The wooden-built device has been on the side of the road at least since November 2007, when the Street View service (from Google) began digital terrestrial mapping across the entire American nation.

Unfortunately, the New Mexico billboard has been the target of several vandalism. In the image, you can see the scribbles of spray paints in shades of black and red on the structure that supports the device.

For those leaving New Mexico, there is also a very special greeting: "Hasta La Vista".

On the Oklahoma side, a metallic plate, with a white background, with a star in various colors and Welcome to Oklahoma. Due to the state of conservation, it is believed to have been in place for a maximum of two years. Before the sign, just a circular area along the highway with a "wall" and the writing of the state's name, registered in the years 2007, 2009 and 2022.
